What to expect

Coming to church for the first time may seem a little bit intimidating, so we’d like to make your visit easier by helping you understand some of what happens at one of our services.

We meet at 10:30am and services last around 75 minutes and will involve singing, praying, hearing the Bible read and taught. Once a month we take communion so on these Sundays the service may last 10 minutes longer.

As church is not a performance, where the congregation remain passive, we encourage everyone to participate by joining together in saying set prayers and declarations of faith. Whilst some of these activities may be unusual to you, we want you to be able to watch what happens without fear of being asked to do anything you’re uncomfortable with. Also if you have questions or queries about anything we do, we’d be glad to chat things through with you, please speak to one of leaders.

We welcome everyone, because we believe that everyone should hear the good news of Jesus. There is no dress code because church is about who you are not what labels you wear. There is no VIP area or reserved seating, we just ask everyone to be considerate of each other.

We warmly welcome families. Midway through the service all primary school children can join in the children’s groups where they will be taught the same bible passage as the adults, appropriate to their age.
